Monday June 25th – Paddler Social, Paddle, Volunteer Op

Lamoille River Paddlers’ Trail Paddler Social
On Monday, June 25th, join other paddling enthusiasts for an annual Paddler Social! Volunteer, paddle, or just join for drinks and socializing:

10:30 AM-3:30 PM: Picnic area and campsite construction on the Manchester Farm in Jeffersonville! Work will involve building a picnic table, privy, sign-in box, installing signage, and clearing tenting areas. Come for the full day or an hour or two.

3:30-6:00 PM Community Paddle in Jeffersonville (5.5 miles, 2 hr paddle). Join other paddlers to explore a peaceful stretch of the river.

6:00-7:00 PM Paddler Social: Drinks, appetizers, and trail updates on the porch of the Family Table Restaurant. Meet other river enthusiasts, learn about completed projects, and help set priorities for the year ahead!

The Lamoille River Paddlers’ Trail is a volunteer driven, community effort. We hope you will join us to show your support for efforts to foster recreational use of the Lamoille River compatible with the valley’s rich ecology and productive working landscape! Lamoille River Paddlers’ Trail Community Social, Paddle, And Volunteer Opportunity – Wednesday, May 4th

Join us for the 1st annual Lamoille River Paddlers’ Trail Community Social, scheduled for Wednesday, May 4th!

Landmark Tavern, Johnson Vermont

Join other river enthusiasts to celebrate recent accomplishments, including the establishment of the first official paddler campsite, and learn about projects planned for 2016!

The evening will start with an optional, 2.5 mile group paddle to the tavern, leaving from Sloping Falls at 5:00 pm. We’ll then gather at the tavern where there will be appetizers, cash bar, raffle, slideshow, presentation, and dinner available for purchase, with a portion of proceeds going toward the Paddlers’ Trail.

Help is also needed to install river access stairs at the site during the afternoon (1:30-4:30).

Schedule

  • 1:30-4:30 – Optional volunteer work opportunity – help install access stairs at Landmark Tavern!
  • 5:00-6:00 – Group paddle: Sloping Falls to the Landmark Tavern (2.5 miles):
  • 6:00-6:30 – Appetizers and socializing at the Landmark Tavern
  • 6:30-7:30 – Presentations, slideshow, discussion, optional dinner!
